2011 is about to be gone in a day. We go into 2012 ! and we go strong, stronger than ever with no shame. It's the year of the Sun and the Moon. The year of Love, lets set our intentions for Peace, Love, Harmony and extreme happiness. That our dreams come true this year, that our friendships become stronger, and that we find the right lovers ! A whole lotta Love . DAVID GUETTA, F*** Me I Am Famous !

The Victorian, Main Street Santa Monica And DJ BOODAH BOY in the House !!
Last night I was just wasting another night at home. My friend got back to work and invited me to go out to Main Street in Santa Monica. It's been a while since I had gone out. Since I was sick for a week and just figuring out some trips for 2012 I had been home way too much for anyone in great health. So I accepted the invite.
We went to The Victorian for a a french's acquaintance's birthday. Dj Boodah Boy was on decks playing some classic rock and roll hits. We all (pretty interesting group of people) danced as two weird girls discretely threw cake at people on the dance floor. Dj Boodah Boy dropped some Rod Stewart, in which I thought could be a great theme for todays post :)

Dj LoveJoy new mix !
What a day. Woke up early (around 7:30am) to go surf El Porto with my mate Dorian. We got back home I took a nice shower and made my decision of not going to Brazil in january. So I can stay in the states and be more productive. Keep the flow going, keep the momentum. Because once I went down to Brazil wanting it or not you know how things would go. So I decided to stay and just go back to my home country once things are more concrete...
Then I went to eat at my friend's french Restaurant in Abbot Kinney in Venice Beach. Had some Rice with Ratatouille sauce, then chocolate mousse for desert. Met DJ Boodah Boy, great guy ! Came back home and paaassed out ! waw. Just woke up. I havent done anything of my daily routine. But I am starting now by writing my day in my blog !? Alright...
Now done with writing ! I want to introduce my friend Dj LoveJoy. She does these incredible mixes of always pleasant smooth house music. Currently living in Oslo Norway she comes down to the US every now and then . So I leave you guys here with her latest mix.

1 – Tell us about yourself.
SY- I’m Saeed Younan, Professionally DJing & touring since 1998. Voted one of America’s top 50 best DJ’s, 3 Years in a row. Lunched the successful label Younan Music, in 2004.
PK – I’m Kaveh from Pleasurekraft and I live eat and breathe music regardless of genre or image.

2 – How was 2011 for you?
SY – One of the best years yet (for my label & myself). Touring non-stop, producing music with some of my favorite artists, and signing some amazing tracks on Younan Music.
PK – Amazing – so crazy to think it has been only 1 year of touring and some of the gigs have been in venues that people dream about playing at.

3- What’s your favorite thing about a festival, over a normal club night?
SY – Festivals (similar to The BPM Fest.) has an energy to it, that doesn’t compare to a regular club night. The vibe escalates and the craziness at an all-time high. I can really feed off the energy during a festival dj set.
PK – Depends on the festival! J But generally speaking the sheer size and scope of festivals and that there are constantly parties going on and you get to run into your peers just walking down the street is very cool.

PK – Yep – some great remixes that some artists have done of our tracks that wont be out yet – and our newest track we have done (an original) which Green Velvet did the vocals for!

This is the first time Kaveh and I play back 2 back. So, it’s definitely going to be a special night for us and for the people on the dance floor. Feliz Navidad !!!
After a whole week being in bed sick, today I finally felt almost completely well. My friend Dorian who I live with woke me up at 8 am and we went running in Venice beach. Yes a good way to start Christmas Eve Day !
